Comprehensive Eye Examination

A comprehensive eye exam allows the Optometrist to evaluate the health of your eyes and quality of vision by viewing the internal structure of your eye to be able to detect abnormal or chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, cataract, glaucoma, and other diseases and conditions. These tests range from a simple eye chart reading to more complex ones that examine the tissues inside of your eyes.
Some eye diseases and conditions develop gradually without vision loss or symptoms, this is why a comprehensive eye exam should be scheduled at least once a year as early detection leads to better treatment options and reduces the risk of permanent vision damage.
